There is much here that we would love to discuss. The needs and goals are many, and the domain of the solution space is also vast. If we can learn a little more about the specific directions of current effort, as well as the constraints and challenges being encountered in the pursuit of those direction, we will have many ideas and connections to discuss. We think Joel Salatin is a wonderful example of practical applied science. I have visited his farm twice, including a 3-day training course around the time of the Kommersant article. Salatin has created a template that helps farmers begin to increase the return on investment from their farms. His farm, “Polyface Farms”, has actually sponsored a major permaculture center in South Africa, and he conducts training events there. He offers an example of how a subset of permaculture can help farmers take the next step. https://pisa.africa/joel-salatin/

Salatin’s concept was part of the context we had in mind in creating our presentation at Agrorus 2022. In order to benefit from diversification, farmers need training and informational support. They also need a way to design diverse systems that bias the dynamics of diversity and the natural features of their farm site toward success. We think this is an enormous opportunity for Russia and BRICS+ countries. So we would like to ask: what are the first efforts that will this project make that will involve land use, agriculture, or forestry? What limitations and challenges are expected in this endeavor?
