Arsaki demonstration site

Site overview

Cool temperate, somewhat continental humid climate.

High humidity, high water table. Carved out of government-planted spruce/birch forest, with some presence of Scots pine, Pinus Sylvestris, a native pine species with excellent construction potential.

Most of the property border was cleared about five years ago, and most of that has begun to regrow with poplar, fitting with the theme of high water availability.

A large area near the southern entrance to the property, corresponding to the most likely primary Zone 1 area, has remained grassy, with some spruce and pine seedlings starting to spread in.

There are some birch trees on the property, but only a few, and they appear to be sick, especially the young ones, growing with the poplars.

The general slope of the 2.5 hectare property is towards the southwest.

Main building

The primary Zone 1 area will surround a central building, which should serve as the site managers' home, as well as a community building and teaching center.
